Composite Image Bank

This image is clever because of the way that  the shadow  of a boy is there but only his shoes are actually there. This represents the possibility of a death and someone hanging onto whats not real.

This photo shows the power of the batters swing. It is so powerful that smoke is coming out of the top. I like the way the sky is dark grey making the atmosphere of the photograph become tense.

I like the way this represents the caring nature of a mother to a new level. It shows the way a mother ail care and do whatever they can for their child. It fights stereotypes of women being weaker.

I really like this photo because of the way the face on the persons hand is like a new identity. It fits very well and does not look out of proportion. The fact that it is in black and white makes the photo seem tenser and more serious.

Composite Work Diary

In this lesson we were assigned to cary out the task of creating false images. Being able to put two images together to create one hat looks real. I found this quite hard as my computer skills are not that great. I did produce some however, they are no the best.

I used an old photograph of the London bombings in WW2,  I then found an image of an old stopwatch and placed it in the corner of the photo. The idea here was the ticking, waiting for the bomb to drop from the plane onto the city. I like the way the themes fir together and the way that the stopwatch bring some colour into it even though it is faded.

Progression

I did not like this photo that much as I feel the idea did not work. I tried to put an evil eye on the darker side of the peace symbol and an earth eye on the whiter side. However, I could not find the right images to put there and couldn't get it to be just a circled photograph.

I would like to try using my own photos and try to gather more ideas if I were to redo this task.

Composite/ Manipulated Final Images

In this photo I have chosen to take the Yin and Yang sign, The black side (Yin) is known as negativity and sinister. To further represent the myth, I photoshopped a red evil eye into the black side. On the other hand, Yang (the white side) represents positivity and purity, To represent this, I found an image of an eye that looked a little like the earth; blue and green colours swirl together. I think the earth represents yang well as its life itself.

Here is a landscape photograph of paris, I then used photoshop to put the Leaning tower of Pisa next to the eiffel tower. There was no hidden meaning other than a monument of rome being in paris.

Composite / Manipulated Image

    Fashion industry
Photo manipulation is a process to transform a photograph into a desired image. There are currently many different software applications to choose from ranging from professional applications to basic imaging software for the casual user.

In my opinion, photo manipulation is both good and bad. I think it can be good because it allows people to make an image how they envisioned it. They are able to adjust certain aspects of photos they do not like or just to simply improve them. However, editing can be done to such extremes that it creates a false pretences for both men and worn in the Media. It does however influence young girls attitude towards themselves and others. I can make people feel degraded and faulty.
