Tone Studio Contact Sheet
Tone Studio Work Diary
We were given the opportunity to shoot in the studio. We were asked to bring in any object to to shoot. i decided to bring in a bracelet I have had since I was eight years old. I had multiple attempts at this, some came out a little blurry due to the close proximity so i decided to step back but zoom in.
The colours of the bracelet look bright and and shiny.
This photo is my preferred one, I like the angle it was taken at and the way the flash bounces off of the silver, yet the gold and white tones balance it out. The shadow casted creates heavier look, it shows the shade and possibility of different effects with the correct lighting.
As you can see the photo didn't come out very good, I know it was too close and the focus was on the back of the bracelet rather than the front.

Tone Straight Images
The tone in this picture is the different shades and depth of the eye.The tone f the greens into blue, and the eyebrow's contrast to eyelashes and the negative space.
The tone here are the 'sunset' effect within the glass lens. The wall fading into carpet create a tranquil effete, with dark blues, baby blues and white tones.
Here the tone of the fake flower diseases from the centre outward. The centre is more vibrant and contrast nicely against the purple throw.
The tones in the wood are contrasted with each other, from light to dark tone.
My hair here demonstrates the ombre tones from dark brown to a copper colour.

Tone Work Diary
Lesson Thursday 8th of October, our element was Tone. Although i had missed this lesson, i asked class mates what I missed so i caught up in my own time and took photos at around my house trying to find different tones. I i think i understood tone quite well. I enjoyed playing around and trying to get different effects.
This is on of my favouite images because of the gradient. The tones remind me of a sunset but i also like the possible metaphoric message; that everything is different through everyone's eyes. In this case, It is almost like the background colours are colours through a realists eyes but then when you look throuogh the lens you get a glimpse of an optimists tranquility.
Below is my favourite photo of Tone.

Below is a photo I do not like.
I do not like this photo because it came out grainy the focus which was suppose to be my dog did not show. The background is in just as much focus as the desired focus. I also do not like this photo because the tones look odd The redy/yellow creates a messy feeling whilst the dogs features arent shown in detail either.
progression
If I were to go back ad re-shoot I would try and use better lighting options or have a better focus point. I would also try to use human form more as I feel liek they offer lost of different tones and shadows. I would also experiment with black & white photos. Here are a few examples of things I would like to try next time:

This is a baby, the tones are varied dramatically. The tones change from skin to clothes to nature.

This is a girl band, again the tones change from different skin colors, to surrounding buildings and sky

This is a metal ring, the picture looks like the hoop is trying to capture the scenery however it is all blurred. The hoop has a darker tone compared t the street lamps that have been illuminated

These are sail boats, the main difference is between the white and black cloth then compared to the sea. the contrast between them all is big.
