Shape Work Diary

On the lesson the 13th of october we were given the opportunity to take photos of Shape.
during this lesson i learnt the different dimensions, negative spacing and what an image can portray.I found it was a fun creative gas and easy to understand. I experimented with different shooting modes on my camera
I like this photo

One of my best images was the book into a heart.
i easily manipulated the book by folding the pages in which creates a heart shape. I like the fact that the main focus is the heart and you can clearly see it is a book.. I also like the fact that the colours of the picture compliment each other well and the heart is not the only shape formed; the squares and rectangles of the book and the half circle of bent pages.

I did not like this photo

I however did not like this photo as it seems dull and lifeless. The yellow is faded and the angle makes it seem squished. The shape has been affected as the dimensions are uneven. I would have liked to of taken the photo from a different angle. Also it would have been better if the arrow was the main focus while the grey tarmac was blurred.

Progression

Next time when i go out i would like to experiment more with 2D shapes and different angles. maybe incorporating brighter colours or black and white. Here are some photos i would use next time:
