In todays lesson we were given the task to take pictures of Movement. Whilst I found it hard to find subjects that I could manipulate into moving and trying to find the right camera settings, I really enjoyed the lesson.
I feel like if I was given a wider range of movement pictures I could capture some better ones. However I tried to be as creative as I possibly could.
Here is photo I liked.

I like this photo because I think it shows movement very well. I used the flashlight from my phone to create lines in a dark room, I thought I would try to do some numbers and the 6 came out quite well. I like the fact that you can see where the phone has been paused (endings where there is a north star effect) This number was easy to create however it is disappointing that the top is missing. The photo gves me a firework effect, feeling welcoming. Personally I find the photo quite aesthetically pleasing.
I do not like this photo
I do not like this photo as the main focus is not where it should be. The photo was supposed to show the movement of someone on a chair moving backwards. However the timings didn't work so the photo came out wrong. It looks like the camera wasn't steady instead of movement.
Progression
If I were given the opportunity to re-do this task, I think I would like to be more creative. Maybe getting something that drops and/or explodes like a water balloon. Or bowing a balloon up and letting it go. I would also like to show story movement. For example having a flower and moving it to the left, for every place movement a petal could disappear.
I think I need to practise on my focus and blurring backgrounds.
Here are some photos I would use for inspiration next time:
