Portraiture Work Diary

In todays lesson, we were given the task to take portrait photos. I found this lesson quite fun since my favourite type of photography is juan photography. We used Fstop 8 and 13, ISO 200 and shutter speed was at 1/125 of a second.

It was hard to find the absolute best lighting and to also get the exact emotion to be portrayed. However It was easier when I used my friend  because we are comfortable with each other.

Here is a photo I liked


I really like this photo because I think it shows a lot of personality and playfulness. You can clearly see her emotions; she is happy, having fun. This portrait shot was from the hips and up, although it didn't quite get her hips in the photo it is still valid. I think the photo conveys happiness very well.

I did not like this photo


I didn't like tho photo because it was in the middle of a conversation. My friend was not consciously aware of her actions, whilst it had the potential to be good photo it came out not as good. However, her emotions are displayed quite well. She looks as if someone has just said something she doesn't agree with or finds stupid.
